Why our borders aren’t only defined by politics

Why our borders aren’t only defined by politics

It’s not just in the movies. How have we convinced ourselves to bend the rules of intimacy?
Today I introduced Chris Marc and Niall to Geocaching. If you dont know what that is:
We found a USB drive in one of the caches which gave me a GREAT idea!
I made this USB a travelling photo log! I am going to place the USB in a cache in New Zealand. The instructions (written on the side of it and in a document on the drive) are :
1.Place a photo of yourself with your finder number on the drive
2. Sign the digital log book. I encouraged whole life stories (how cool would that be to read?!?!)
3. Place the USB into another cache somewhere in the world
4. Mail it back to me when the drive is full.

One day, I will get in the mail, a small piece of human history! I can’t wait to see where this drive will go and read about the people that held it! I also asked, if someone had a spare travelbug, that they could put it on the USB so we could track it around the world. That would be so cool if that happens. I’ll post progress if it does.
Well I am all packed for NZ. Enjoy this video while I am internetless for 10 days!
Did you hear? TOMS is now selling sunglasses!
If you don’t know, TOMS are/were a shoe company. For every pair purchased, they would give a pair to a child/person without shoes. One for One.
NOW, TOMS is saying that with every pair of sunglasses purchased, a person will receive sight! One for One.

Speaking of TOMS, I think these will be my next pair. The Journey is the Destination.

At this point, I have so much to say that one blog wont suffice. So here is a bullet list:
Thanks for reading. I have more post’s written but am debating on posting them. That’s why its been a lapse in updates.
My latest animation. The rendering turned out great using Mental Ray’s natural sunlight feature.

Great quote by Stephen Colbert
A quote from the latest Reject Apathy magazine:
Dr. Ron Sider doesn’t believe that social change is complete without sharing the Gospel. He also doesn’t believe that the answer to injustice is to give a man a fish, nor teach him to fish. He says the question we must ask is “Why is he hungry?”
Are the ministries and charities you are donating to, fulfilling all the needs of the socially unjust?
What a month, right? Gosh so much has happened in the world and in my life that I can hardly blog.
In the interest of chronology, I will try to catch up in chronological order.

My parents came down for Easter and we went to Sydney. It was great to see them and for them to experience Australia. Now they know why I want to stay and live here. Sorry I dont have many pictures. It rained most of the time in Sydney anyway.

We caught Osama Bin Laden. As much as I want to write a whole blog about this, I will just stuff it all in here. I was ashamed and repulsed at the reactions of some of my friends and fellow believers.
“As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live” Ezekiel 33:11
“Do not gloat when your enemy falls; when he stumbles, do not let your heart rejoice” Proverbs 24:17
We should NEVER rejoice the death of someone who has not received salvation. Sure we can feel relief that he is not able to hurt more people, yet we should WEEP that he is not alive to feel the repentance and salvation from OUR Lord. Be careful to see the difference between relief and joy. As stated in Ezekiel above, God would rather Osama live, accept salvation and the love poured out on the cross, than another sheep die a hopeless death. As much as we want to feel like we are better, you and I stand in the same place as Osama bin Laden when it comes to how the Lord feels about us. We (us and Osama) are sinners, we are not worthy of Gods love and salvation. You and I are no better than Bin Laden. Yet God loves us so much, he sent his only son to be our eternal sacrifice and ransom. Jesus died for us (Bin Laden included). Jesus loves all of us regardless of what we do.
I know for a lot of my readers, its hard to accept that what we do on this earth has nothing to do with our salvation. It is a really hard fact to grasp, i’ll admit. However if we had to earn salvation by our actions, we are saying that Christ’s life, snuffed out for us, WASN’T ENOUGH. The fact that Osama Bin Laden could repent, accept salvation and stand in heaven with our Lord even after doing what he did, makes me love God so much more. There is nothing I can do to make God love me less. I sin every day just as Osama did. There is no degree of sin too great, that God cannot forgive you. Truly everyone on this earth has the means to know our creator, no matter what.

Phewf! Got that out. Back to the story. In the latest issue of Relevant Magazine, I read about a thing called The World Race. Being the “Amazing Race” fan that i am, I was immediately interested. It turns out that it isn’t a race, but an 11 month mission trip to 11 desperate countries. Every day since, I have been reading blogs of racers and watching videos about it. Could this be the next chapter for Michael Green? I am constant in prayer about it and I would appreciate yours as well!
Speaking of prayer requests, I am proud to announce that I will be getting baptised on May 27th. I have been feeling the call to be properly baptised for a while now and just recently have decided to stop talking myself out of it. In Acts, people were baptised IMMEDIATELY after accepting Christ. Its not something worth waiting on then and it isn’t now. I’ve been a believer for almost 4 years now and for some reason I have always talked myself out of it. I would appreciate your prayers as I prepare to truly dedicate my life to the Kingdom.

Thanks for reading and following me in my journey. Feel free to comment below. I have a feeling i might generate a few comments about my views on Osama and I ask that you please post with grace and don’t troll.
